Torne trask at Abisko

Abisko, aerial photo, aerial photo, aerial photos, aerial photos, autumn, drone aerial, drönarfoto, landscapes, Lapland, Swedish Mountains, torne trask
Abisko has the countrys lowest annual precipitation with only 300 mm. Humid air masses from the Atlantic are forced up over the mountains, where they are cooled and fall as rain or snow over the mountains along the border. Once the clouds reach Abisko, the precipitation has fallen away and rain shadows are all that remain. Many speak of Abisko?s blue hole, making it the country?s most reliable place to view aurora borealis (northern lights) during the winter and midnight sun during the summer.
