Helags with mountain station

Helags Mountain Lodge is situated at over thousand meters height, at the foot of the mountain. The first cottage was built in 1897. Helags peak reaches 1796 meters above sea level and is the highest in Sweden, south of the Arctic Circle. The mountain has a huge "pot" that gives a distinctive profile. It is filled by a glacier with a depth of up to fifty meters. Cirrus clouds piling up over the mountain and foreshadows bad weather.
