Hikers, who walk the trail from Nikkaluokta Nihkkaluokta towards Kebnekaise, will see the impressive silhouette of Duolbagorni towering to the west. Here, we view it from the opposite direction. Kebnekaise Mountain Station is covered behind the peak and to the left in the photo is the trail that swings up to Kebnekaise?s peak. The name Kebnekaise comes from the two Lulesami words giebnne, pot and gájsse, mountain peak. Kebnekaise has no pot, but Duolbagorni does. The name was probably intended for this mountain, but some cartographer put the name on the wrong mountain peak.
