The power station tunnel passes the east end of the lake Gättsak, farther in the photo, on its way down towards Ahkajavrre, upper right. In the original plans, the lake Avddajavri, upper left, was to be dammed. It would have altered this valley into a large water storage. The plans changed after protest, replaced by the tunnel construction. The operation was smaller, but the region was affected by roads, the dam, drained stretches of rapids, and differences in Siddasjavris water level.
